Castro Street Fair, 1978 —This was Harvey Milk’s last Castro Street Fair. Harvey was determined to drag my neighbor Fred to his apartment, which was 20 feet away. Fred’s lover (off camera) was watching, and so was Fred’s boyfriend (second from left). My friend Sandy (right) was laughing at the scene.
